A book of photographs of virtual and real places.
I realized that my photographs are often inspired – at depth perception level – by visual artifacts that appear in computer and video games: poor depth clues, z-fighting, weird flat colors. I focused on games (and thus, the places) I know best, they’re all older than ten years, at a sweet spot when graphics were becoming 3D, but often clumsily.
This is a prototype book, the printing and binding is not final, yet. There’s a little website for it, too: http://hyper.jakobwierzba.de/hyper/
(BTW you should totally watch this in HD)
gimmick arttechnique is apparently called in-game photography
- At one point I’ll explain the title
